About Reverend Evelyn J Taylor
Dr. Evelyn J Taylor was called by God to minister to women. She has dedicated her life to encouraging women. Her heart is for the spiritual growth and development of women. She has been appointed by God as a teacher to women from all walks of life. She is the founder of Women of Promise Ministries Inc., a ministry designed to address the obstacles that stand between women and their ability to reap the promises of God's Word.
She worked as a registered nurse in critical care for fifteen years. She left full time nursing after the birth of her first child. During her sabbatical, while raising her children, she attended Trinity Theological Seminary and obtained her degree in Women's Studies. She was ordained as a minister of the Gospel in 1995. She later completed both her master's and doctoral work.
Dr. Taylor and her husband were founders and pastors of Good News Bible Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She served as director of women's ministry at Wayman AME Church in Frederick, Maryland under the leadership of Rev. Ronald P. Simmons. She now serves as adjunct professor at Grace & Truth Christian University and an Ordained Elder at Word of Grace & Truth Ministry in Tampa Florida under the leadership of Dr. Thomas L Dozier.
Dr. Taylor is also a published author who speaks, teaches, and preaches about issues that pertain to women. God has gifted her to minister to single women who desire to be married. She has a "no nonsense" approach to helping single women understand what signs to look for during the dating phase.
Pastor Scott B. Taylor and Dr. Evelyn Johnson Taylor are the proud parents of two daughters, they have been married and in ministry together for over twenty years.
